Measuring from the call of Abraham, the narrative of Genesis covers around 300 years.  This chart indicates the overlap of the lives of the Patriarchs.  We note two things; the events of Genesis are not presented strictly chronologically,  since the writer emphasises people rather than events; the writer may not  always state exact ages, or numbers of years.
